Collection: High Fidelity PCR
Taq and other DNA polymerases are known to make errors in the polymerization requests of PCR. The most widely used Taq DNA polymerase is associated with high frequency of errors. For a 1 kb size PCR product, around 70% of product molecules are expected to contain on average 1 error per molecule. If your objective for a PCR is to use the products to express the gene product (protein), this type error rates are so high that either the protein sequence will be altered, or the expression level of gene product will be affected. In such a case, a high fidelity polymerase and associated buffers, magnesium and protocol for a high fidelity PCR are desirable. We introduce various products for the high fidelity PCR.
