Product Introduction

Pristine™ Prestained Protein Ladders (8-195 kDa) are a mixture of 10 high-purity and prestained recombinant proteins, which is convenient for evaluating of electrophoresis and transfer efficiency. It is suitable as a protein molecular weight standard for SDS-PAGE and Western Blot.

The bands display in Tris-Glycine gel range from 8-195 kDa (~8, ~13, ~20, ~28, ~40, ~55, ~70, ~105, ~140, and ~195 kDa), of which 8, and 70 kDa are in a bright pinkish red color, and the others are blue bands.

Storage and Handling Conditions

Storage at -20°C; Valid for 12 months.

Assay Protocol / Procedures

1. Allow the tube to reach room temperature and thoroughly mix before use.
2. In a conventional mini or midi electrophoresis system, the loading volume of Prestained Protein Marker VI is typically, 3-10μL.
3. The Prestained Protein Marker should be stored at -20℃ immediately after use.

Notes

1. This product is ready-to-use, no need to add reducing agent.
2. This product cannot be heated, which will cause the protein bands to degrade or discolor.
3. Please wear lab coat and disposable gloves during operation.

Clarity and Background

I strongly recommend this product as I have seen a clear bands with very minute amount (3uL) and no issues of background in WB and clear separation of the bands.

Clear bands, no background after WB

This is a nice protein ladder for your western blotting, covering a useful range of protein sizes. I used as little as 3 uL per lane with good results, even after TBST washes in PDVF membranes: Pink and blue bands were easily distinguishable by the end of the protocol. No issues with secondary antibody unspecific binding to the ladder bands, which I have encountered with other brands. I strongly recommend this product.
