HiPure DNA/RNA/Protein Kit

Introduction

HiPure DNA / RNA / protein kit is the most rapid and simple method to simultaneously extract DNA, RNA and protein from cultured cells and animal soft tissue samples. This kit adopts column technology which is no need for dangerous phenol chloroform extraction and time-consuming alcohol precipitation in the extraction process. This kit is suitable for simultaneous extraction of RNA, DNA and protein from < 1x 10^{^}7 eukaryotic cultured cells as well as from animal soft tissues less than 20mg such asliver, kidney, spleen and brain. The purified RNA can be directly used in RT-PCR, Northern blot, poly-A + purification, nucleic acid protection, in vitro translation while the obtained DNA can be directly used in PCR and Southern hybridization, the obtained protein can be directly used in SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, western blot and so on.

Principle

The Kit isolates total RNA from up to 10 ⁷ cells or 30 mg tissue. A short workflow enables RNAisolation with genomic DNA removal in less than 25 min. Samples are first lysed and homogenized. The lysate is passed through a DNA Mini column, ethanol is added to the flow-through, and the sample is applied to an RNA column. RNA binds to the membrane and contaminants are washed away. High-quality RNA is eluted in as little as 30 µl water using the Kit.

Storage and Stability

Hipure DNA/RNA/protein kit can be stored at room temperature (15-25℃) in dry for 18 months. At low temperature, buffer RL may form precipitation. It needs 55℃ water bath to completely dissolve the precipitation before use. As DEPC treated water does not contain any bacteriostatic factors, it may be contaminated by bacterial or fungal when placed or operated at room temperature. We recommend to pack DEPC treated water separately and store it at -20℃ to reduce pollution. If DEPC treated water is polluted, please prepare it again.
