Gene Name: SLC7A7

Specificity:

Background: Y+L amino acid transporter 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC7A7 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is the light subunit of a cationic amino acid transporter. This sodium-independent transporter is formed when the light subunit encoded by this gene dimerizes with the heavy subunit transporter protein SLC3A2. This transporter is found in epithelial cell membranes where it transfers cationic and large neutral amino acids from the cell to the extracellular space. Defects in this gene are a cause of lysinuric protein intolerance (LPI). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Immunogen: E.coli-derived human SLC7A7 recombinant protein (Position: M1-D498). Human SLC7A7 shares 90.8% and 91.6% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat SLC7A7, respectively.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
