Applications: WB

Application Details: Western blot, 0.1-0.5μg/ml, Human, Mouse, Rat

Gene Name: SLC5A1

Specificity: No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Background: Sodium/glucose cotransporter 1 (SLC5A1), also known as NAGT or SGLT1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC5A1 gene. This gene is mapped to 22q12.3. This gene encodes a member of the sodium-dependent glucose transporter (SGLT) family. The encoded integral membrane protein is the primary mediator of dietary glucose and galactose uptake from the intestinal lumen. Mutations in this gene have been associated with glucose-galactose malabsorption. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of mouse SGLT1, different from the related rat sequence by one amino acid, and from the related human sequence by two amino acids.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains antibody formulated with stabilizing components, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
*This antibody is supplied in a stabilized formulation. Compatibility with conjugation reactions depends on the chemistry of the conjugation method used. For conjugation methods that are not compatible with the stabilizing components present in this formulation, a carrier-free antibody format is required.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
