Gene Name: HIBADH
Specificity:
Background: In enzymology, a 3-hydroxyisobutyrate dehydrogenase also known as β-hydroxyisobutyrate dehydrogenase or 3-hydroxyisobutyrate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (HIBADH) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HIBADH gene. This gene encodes a mitochondrial 3-hydroxyisobutyrate dehydrogenase enzyme. The encoded protein plays a critical role in the catabolism of L-valine by catalyzing the oxidation of 3-hydroxyisobutyrate to methylmalonate semialdehyde.
Immunogen: E.coli-derived human HIBADH recombinant protein (Position: R34-E332). Human HIBADH shares 93.3% and 92.6% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat HIBADH, respectively.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
