Background:ZIC3, or zic family member 3, is a molecule that regulates early embryonic patterning in vertebrates. ZIC3 has putative roles in a number of developmental signalling pathways that have distinct roles in establishing the left-right axis. In addition, ZIC3 is also considered as target of MiR-564, a tumor suppressor in human lung cancer. Variants in the ZIC3 gene are rare, but have demonstrated their profound clinical significance in X-linked heterotaxy, affecting in particular male patients with abnormal arrangement of thoracic and visceral organs.
Concentration:
Activity:Not validated for activity
Sequence:Met 1-Val467
Purity: > 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation:Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
Reconstitution:It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.
Endotoxin:< 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Calculated MW:51.3 kDa
ObservedMW:52 kDa
