Alternative Name(s): Orphan nuclear receptor TAK1Orphan nuclear receptor TR4Testicular receptor 4

Relevance: Orphan nuclear receptor that can act as a repressor or activator of transcription. An important repressor of nuclear recptor signaling pathways such as retinoic acid receptor, retinoid X, vitamin D3 receptor, thyroid hormone receptor and estrogen receptor pathways. May regulate gene expression during expression during the late phase of spermatogenesis. Activates transcriptional activity of LHCG and is antagonist of PPARA-mediated transactivation . Together with NR2C1, forms the core of the DRED (direct repeat erythroid-definitive) complex that represses bryonic and fetal globin transcription including that of GATA1. Binds to hormone response elents (HREs) consisting of two 5'-AGGTCA-3' half site direct repeat consensus sequences. Plays a fundamental role in early bryonic development and bryonic st cells. Required for normal spermatogenesis and cerebellum development. Appears to be important for neurodevelopmentally regulated behavior

Purity: Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Storage Buffer: Tris-based buffer,50% glycerol

Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20℃/-80℃. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20℃/-80℃.

Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.
