Gene Name: SIM2

Specificity:

Background: Single-minded homolog 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SIM2 gene. This gene represents a homolog of the Drosophila single-minded (sim) gene, which encodes a transcription factor that is a master regulator of neurogenesis. The encoded protein is ubiquitinated by RING-IBR-RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligases, including the parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase. This gene maps within the so-called Down syndrome chromosomal region, and is thus thought to contribute to some specific Down syndrome phenotypes. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.

Immunogen: E.coli-derived human SIM2 recombinant protein (Position: Y337-R609). Human SIM2 shares 85.8% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse SIM2.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
