Gene Name: RAPGEF5
Specificity:
Background: Rap guanine nucleotide exchange factor 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RAPGEF5 gene. Members of the RAS subfamily of GTPases function in signal transduction as GTP/GDP-regulated switches that cycle between inactive GDP- and active GTP-bound states. Guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs), such as RAPGEF5, serve as RAS activators by promoting acquisition of GTP to maintain the active GTP-bound state and are the key link between cell surface receptors and RAS activation.
Immunogen: E.coli-derived human RAPGEF5 recombinant protein (Position: E164-H574). Human RAPGEF5 shares 95.6% and 96.4% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat RAPGEF5, respectively.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
