Gene Name: NFKBIB
Specificity:
Background: NF-kappa-B inhibitor beta is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NFKBIB gene. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family, which inhibit NF-kappa-B by complexing with, and trapping it in the cytoplasm. Phosphorylation of serine residues on these proteins by kinases marks them for destruction via the ubiquitination pathway, thereby allowing activation of the NF-kappa-B, which translocates to the nucleus to function as a transcription factor. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
Immunogen: E.coli-derived human IkB Beta/NFKBIB recombinant protein (Position: T96-V356). Human NFKBIB shares 79.5% and 76.4% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat NFKBIB, respectively.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
