Specificity:

Background: This gene encodes a component of the spindle and kinetochore-associated protein complex that regulates microtubule attachment to the kinetochores during mitosis. The encoded protein localizes to the outer kinetechore and may be required for normal chromosome segregation and cell division. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Immunogen: E.coli-derived human C13orf3/SKA3 recombinant protein (Position: M1-N412). Human C13orf3/SKA3 shares 61.6% and 61.8% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat C13orf3/SKA3, respectively.
