Background:Actin is a highly conserved protein that polymerizes to produce filaments that form cross-linked networks in the cytoplasm of cells. Actin exists in both monomeric (G-actin) and polymeric (F-actin) forms, both forms playing key functions, such as cell motility and contraction. In addition to their role in the cytoplasmic cytoskeleton, G-and F-actin also localize in the nucleus, and regulate gene transcription and motility and repair of damaged DNA
Concentration:
Activity:Not validated for activity
Sequence:Met1-Phe375
Purity: > 90% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation:Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
Reconstitution:It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.
Endotoxin:< 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Calculated MW:43.1 kDa
ObservedMW:42-48 kDa
