Gene Name: PDXK

Specificity:

Background: Pyridoxal kinase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PDXK gene. The protein encoded by this gene phosphorylates vitamin B6, a step required for the conversion of vitamin B6 to pyridoxal-5-phosphate, an important cofactor in intermediary metabolism. The encoded protein is cytoplasmic and probably acts as a homodimer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined.

Immunogen: E.coli-derived human PDXK recombinant protein (Position: H13-E280). Human PDXK shares 85.4% and 85.1% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat PDXK, respectively.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
