Specificity:

Background: Sodium-hydrogen exchangers (NHEs), such as SLC9A8, are integral transmembrane proteins that exchange extracellular Na+ for intracellular H+. NHEs have multiple functions, including intracellular pH homeostasis, cell volume regulation, and electroneutral NaCl absorption in epithelia (Xu et al., 2008 [PubMed 18209477]).

Immunogen: E.coli-derived human NHE8/SLC9A8 recombinant protein (Position: M1-Q568). Human NHE8/SLC9A8 shares 96.5% and 95.9% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat NHE8/SLC9A8, respectively.
