Application Details: Western blot, 0.25-0.5 μg/ml/ml, Human, Mouse, Rat
Flow Cytometry (Fixed), 1-3 μg/1x106 cells, Human

Gene Name: HSD17B3

Specificity:

Background: 17β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 3 (17β-HSD3) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HSD17B3 gene and is involved in androgen steroidogenesis. This isoform of 17 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase is expressed predominantly in the testis and catalyzes the conversion of androstenedione to testosterone. It preferentially uses NADP as cofactor. Deficiency can result in male pseudohermaphroditism with gynecomastia.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human HSD17B3, which shares 68.4% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with rat HSD17B3.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
