Application Details: Western blot, 0.1-0.5 μg/ml, Human, Rat

Gene Name: GATA4

Specificity: No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Background: Transcription factor GATA-4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GATA4 gene. This gene encodes a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors. Members of this family recognize the GATA motif which is present in the promoters of many genes. This protein is thought to regulate genes involved in embryogenesis and in myocardial differentiation and function, and is necessary for normal testicular development. Mutations in this gene have been associated with cardiac septal defects. Additionally, alterations in gene expression have been associated with several cancer types.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human GATA4, different from the related mouse and rat sequences by one amino acid.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl and 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
