Background: Alpha-2-HS-glycoprotein (AHSG) also known as fetuin-A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AHSG gene. Fetuin-A belongs to the fetuin class of plasma binding proteins and is more abundant in fetal than adult blood. This gene is mapped to 3q27. Fetuin-A is a secreted partially phosphorylated glycoprotein with complex proeolytic processing that circulates in blood and extracellular fluids. The protein is commonly present in the cortical plate of the immature cerebral cortex and bone marrow hemopoietic matrix. It is involved in several functions, such as endocytosis, brain development and the formation of bone tissue. Fetuin-A is also a potent inhibitor of pathological calcification.
Immunogen: E.coli-derived mouse Fetuin A recombinant protein (Position: A19-I345). Mouse Fetuin A shares 57% and 85% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with human and rat Fetuin A, respectively.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains antibody formulated with stabilizing components, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4, and 0.05 mg NaN3.
*This antibody is supplied in a stabilized formulation.
Compatibility with conjugation reactions depends on the chemistry of the conjugation method used.
For conjugation methods that are not compatible with the stabilizing components present in this formulation, a carrier-free antibody format is required.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
