Gene Name: DIS3

Specificity:

Background: Exosome complex exonuclease RRP44 or Dis3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the DIS3 gene. The DIS3 gene encodes a catalytic subunit of the exosome complex, an essential RNA degradation machinery involved in multiple aspects of RNA metabolism, including RNA processing, quality control, and turnover. DIS3 functions as an exonuclease, playing a key role in degrading various RNA species, such as messenger RNA (mRNA), ribosomal RNA (rRNA), and transfer RNA (tRNA). Its activity is crucial for maintaining cellular RNA homeostasis and gene expression regulation. Dysregulation of DIS3 expression or activity has been linked to various human diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying DIS3 function is essential for elucidating its role in RNA metabolism and its potential implications for disease pathology and therapeutic targeting.

Immunogen: E.coli-derived human DIS3 recombinant protein (Position: H43-K878). Human DIS3 shares 92.8% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse DIS3.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
