Applications: IHC
Application Details: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Section), 2-5 μg/ml, Human
Gene Name: CD24
Specificity:
Background: This gene encodes a sialoglycoprotein that is expressed on mature granulocytes and B cells and modulates growth and differentiation signals to these cells. The precursor protein is cleaved to a short 32 amino acid mature peptide which is anchored via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI) link to the cell surface. This gene was missing from previous genome assemblies, but is properly located on chromosome 6. Non-transcribed pseudogenes have been designated on chromosomes 1, 15, 20, and Y. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human CD24. Human CD24 shares 61.9% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with rat CD24.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
