Background:Angiopoietin-1 (Ang-1) is a secreted glycoprotein that plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of the vascular system. The angiopoietin (ANGPT)-TIE2/TEK signaling pathway is essential for blood and lymphatic vascular homeostasis. ANGPT1 is a potent TIE2 activator, whereas ANGPT2 functions as a context-dependent agonist/antagonist. Angiopoietin-1 can protect against pulmonary arterial hypertension, reduce the extent of fibrosis and remodeling in infarcted diabetic myocardium, and enhance tumor progression and metastasis.

Concentration:

Activity:Not validated for activity

Sequence:Asn304-Ala450

Purity: > 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Formulation:Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.

Reconstitution:It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.

Endotoxin:< 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
