Category ID_III:Others

Abbreviation:TIMM9

Target Synonym:Mitochondrial import inner membrane translocase subunit Tim9;TIMM9

Research Areas:Neuroscience ; signal Transduction

Conjugation:

Target Species:Human

Expression Host:E.coli

Application:

Fusion tag:N-GST & C-His

UNIProt ID:Q9Y5J7

Accession:Q9Y5J7

Background:Mitochondrial intermembrane chaperone that participates in the import and insertion of multi-pass transmembrane proteins into the mitochondrial inner membrane. May also be required for the transfer of beta-barrel precursors from the TOM complex to the sorting and assembly machinery (SAM complex) of the outer membrane. Acts as a chaperone-like protein that protects the hydrophobic precursors from aggregation and guide them through the mitochondrial intermembrane space.

Concentration:

Activity:Not validated for activity

Sequence:Met 1-Arg 89

Purity: > 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Formulation:Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.

Reconstitution:It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.

Endotoxin:< 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.

Calculated MW:34.7 kDa

ObservedMW:35 kDa
