Category ID_II:Recombinant Proteins

Category ID_III:Others

Abbreviation:BMPR2

Target Synonym:BMP type II receptor;BMP type-2 receptor;BMPR-2;BMPR-II;Bone morphogenetic protein receptor type II

Research Areas:Signal Transduction,Stem Cells,Cardiovascular

Conjugation:

Target Species:Human

Expression Host:E.coli

Application:

Fusion tag:N-His

UNIProt ID:Q13873

Accession:Q13873

Background:On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Binds to BMP7, BMP2 and, less efficiently, BMP4. Binding is weak but enhanced by the presence of type I receptors for BMPs. Mediates induction of adipogenesis by GDF6.

Concentration:

Activity:Not validated for activity

Sequence:Ser27-Thr150

Purity: > 85% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Formulation:Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.

Reconstitution:It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.

Endotoxin:< 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.

Calculated MW:26 kDa

ObservedMW:35 kDa
