Application Details: Western blot, 0.25-0.5 μg/ml, Mouse, Rat

Gene Name: Trh

Specificity:

Background: This gene encodes a member of the thyrotropin-releasing hormone family. Cleavage of the encoded proprotein releases mature thyrotropin-releasing hormone, which is a tripeptide hypothalamic regulatory hormone. The mouse proprotein contains five thyrotropin-releasing hormone tripeptides. Thyrotropin-releasing hormone is involved in the regulation and release of thyroid-stimulating hormone, as well as prolactin. Disruption of this gene results in hypothyroidism, elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone levels, and hyperglycemia.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of mouse Trh.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
