Gene Name: SFPQ

Specificity:

Background: Splicing factor, proline- and glutamine-rich is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SFPQ gene. Enables DNA binding activity; histone deacetylase binding activity; and protein homodimerization activity. Involved in several processes, including alternative mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; positive regulation of oxidative stress-induced intrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway; and regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Acts upstream of or within double-strand break repair via homologous recombination. Located in chromatin; nuclear matrix; and paraspeckles.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human SFPQ, identical to the related mouse sequences.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
