Specificity:

Background: Secernin-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCRN1 gene. This gene likely encodes a member of the secernin family of proteins. A similar protein in rat functions in regulation of exocytosis in mast cells. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human SCRN1, which shares 94.4% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with both mouse and rat SCRN1.
