Western blot, 0.1-0.5μg/ml, Mouse
Gene Name: EGF
Specificity: No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Background: Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a growth factor that plays an important role in the regulation of cell growth, proliferation and differentiation by binding to its receptor EGFR. EGF locus is mapped to 4q21-4qter. Human EGF is a 6045-Da protein with 53 amino acid residues and three intramolecular disulfide bones. EGF results in cellular proliferation, differentiation, and survival while plays an important physiological role in the maintenance of oro-esophageal and gastric tissue integrity.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of mouse EGF.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains antibody formulated with stabilizing components, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
*This antibody is supplied in a stabilized formulation.
Compatibility with conjugation reactions depends on the chemistry of the conjugation method used.
For conjugation methods that are not compatible with the stabilizing components present in this formulation, a carrier-free antibody format is required.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
