Background: N-acetyltransferase 10 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the NAT10 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is an RNA cytidine acetyltransferase involved in histone acetylation, tRNA acetylation, the biosynthesis of 18S rRNA, and the enhancement of nuclear architecture and chromatin organization.
