Gene Name: GNAL

Specificity:

Background: Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(olf) subunit alpha is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GNAL gene. This gene encodes a stimulatory G protein alpha subunit which mediates odorant signaling in the olfactory epithelium. This protein couples dopamine type 1 receptors and adenosine A2A receptors and is widely expressed in the central nervous system. Mutations in this gene have been associated with dystonia 25 and this gene is located in a susceptibility region for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Immunogen: E.coli-derived human GNAL recombinant protein (Position: R114-H349).

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
