Application Details: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Section), 0.5-1μg/ml, Human
Western blot, 0.1-0.5μg/ml, Human

Gene Name: SERPINA3

Specificity: No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Background: Alpha 1-antichymotrypsin, also called serpin peptidase inhibitor, clade A (alpha-1 antiproteinase, antitrypsin), member 3 or GIG24 is an alpha globulin glycoprotein that is a member of the serpin superfamily. In humans, it is encoded by the SERPINA3 gene. This gene is mapped to 14q32.13. The protein encoded by this gene is a plasma protease inhibitor and member of the serine protease inhibitor class. Polymorphisms in this protein appear to be tissue specific and influence protease targeting. Variations in this protein's sequence have been implicated in Alzheimer's disease, and deficiency of this protein has been associated with liver disease. Mutations have been identified in patients with Parkinson disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human alpha 1 Antichymotrypsin.

Clonality: Polyclonal

Contents: Each vial contains antibody formulated with stabilizing components, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg Thimerosal, 0.05mg NaN3.
*This antibody is supplied in a stabilized formulation. Compatibility with conjugation reactions depends on the chemistry of the conjugation method used. For conjugation methods that are not compatible with the stabilizing components present in this formulation, a carrier-free antibody format is required.

Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.

Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
