Background:Multifunctional enzyme that, as well as its role in glycolysis, plays a part in various processes such as growth control, hypoxia tolerance and allergic responses. May also function in the intravascular and pericellular fibrinolytic system due to its ability to serve as a receptor and activator of plasminogen on the cell surface of several cell-types such as leukocytes and neurons. Stimulates immunoglobulin production. MBP1 binds to the myc promoter and acts as a transcriptional repressor. May be a tumor suppressor.
Concentration:
Activity:Not validated for activity
Sequence:Ser 2-Lys 434)
Purity: > 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation:Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
Reconstitution:It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.
Endotoxin:< 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Calculated MW:47.5 kDa
ObservedMW:60 kDa
