Background: Predicted to enable phosphatidylcholine binding activity and phosphatidylcholine transporter activity. Involved in negative regulation of cold-induced thermogenesis. Acts upstream of or within cholesterol metabolic process. Located in cytosol. Is expressed in several structures, including genitourinary system; hemolymphoid system gland; intestine; liver; and stomach. Orthologous to human PCTP (phosphatidylcholine transfer protein).

Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of mouse PCTP. Mouse PCTP shares 86.4% and 95.5% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with human and rat PCTP, respectively.
