Background: Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 O is a protein that in humans is encoded by the UBE2O gene. Enables ubiquitin conjugating enzyme activity and ubiquitin protein ligase activity. Involved in positive regulation of BMP signaling pathway; protein ubiquitination; and retrograde transport, endosome to Golgi. Located in cytoplasm and nuclear body.
