Gene Name: SERPING1
Specificity:
Background: This gene encodes a highly glycosylated plasma protein involved in the regulation of the complement cascade. Its encoded protein, C1 inhibitor, inhibits activated C1r and C1s of the first complement component and thus regulates complement activation. It is synthesized in the liver, and its deficiency is associated with hereditary angioneurotic oedema (HANE). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same isoform.
Immunogen: E.coli-derived human SERPING1/C1 recombinant protein (Position: S131-A500). Human SERPING1/C1 shares 78.6% and 79.2% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat SERPING1/C1, respectively.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
