Gene Name: PLS1
Specificity:
Background: Fimbrin also known as is plastin 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PLS1 gene. Plastins are a family of actin-binding proteins that are conserved throughout eukaryote evolution and expressed in most tissues of higher eukaryotes. In humans, two ubiquitous plastin isoforms (L and T) have been identified. The protein encoded by this gene is a third distinct plastin isoform, which is specifically expressed at high levels in the small intestine. Alternatively spliced transcript variants varying in the 5' UTR, but encoding the same protein, have been found for this gene. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 11.
Immunogen: E.coli-derived human PLS1 recombinant protein (Position: E14-L581). Human PLS1 shares 93.8% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse PLS1.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
