Gene Name: NRTN
Specificity:
Background: Neurturin (NRTN) is a protein that is encoded in humans by the NRTN gene. This gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein. This protein signals through the RET receptor tyrosine kinase and a GPI-linked coreceptor, and promotes survival of neuronal populations. A neurturin mutation has been described in a family with Hirschsprung Disease.
Immunogen: E.coli-derived human Neurturin/NRTN recombinant protein (Position: M1-V197). Human Neurturin/NRTN shares 86.3% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse Neurturin/NRTN.
Clonality: Polyclonal
Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl and 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Reconstitution: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
