The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Assay procedure summary: 1. Read at 450nm immediately.

Test principle: The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Retinol Binding Protein 4 (RBP4). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Retinol Binding Protein 4 (RBP4). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Retinol Binding Protein 4 (RBP4), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Retinol Binding Protein 4 (RBP4) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Research Area: Metabolic pathway;Endocrinology;Hormone metabolism;

References Citing This Product: Proteomic Identification of Human Urinary Biomarkers in Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

Effect of high dose thiamine on the levels of urinary protein biomarkers in diabetes mellitus type 2

Differentially expressed urinary biomarkers in children with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome

Expression of retinol binding protein 4 and nuclear factor-ÎşB in diabetic rats with atherosclerosis and the intervention effect of pioglitazone

Expression of retinol binding protein 4 and nuclear factor-κB in diabetic rats with atherosclerosisand the intervention effect of pioglitazone.

Application of a new procedure for liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry profiling of plasma amino acid-related metabolites and untargeted shotgun proteomics to identify mechanisms and biomarkers of calcific aortic stenosis

Screening for immune-potentiating antigens from hepatocellular carcinoma patients after radiofrequency ablation by serum proteomic analysis

Lack of pronounced changes in the expression of fatty acid handling proteins in adipose tissue and plasma of morbidly obese humans

RBP4 regulates trophoblastic cell proliferation and invasion via the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway

Relationship between retinol and risk of diabetic retinopathy: a case-control study

Potassium supplementation blunts the effects of high salt intake on serum retinol‐binding protein 4 levels in healthy individuals

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), a nutritional supplement, modulates steroid insensitivity in asthma

The dietary inflammatory index is associated with anti-and pro-inflammatory adipokines in Brazilian schoolchildren

Pro-and anti-inflammatory adipokines are associated with cardiometabolic risk markers in Brazilian schoolchildren

Biomarkers of cadmium exposure and renal function in estuarine adult villagers

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0558/8588/9636/files/no_image_default_image-jpeg_8ea837f7-9e53-4c6e-b571-d95083a28f82.jpg?v=1783134924
