It is a minor species carried by human erythrocytes, but plays an important role in regulating the mechanical stability of red cells. A number of glycophorin C mutations have been described. The Gerbich and Yus phenotypes are due to deletion of exon 3 and 2, respectively. The Webb and Duch antigens, also known as glycophorin D, result from single point mutations of the glycophorin C gene. The glycophorin C protein has very little homology with glycophorins A and B. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Concentration: 0.4 mg/mL

Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human GYPC

Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, PH7.4

Purification method: Affinity purification

Dilution: IHC 1:100-1:300

Calculated MW:

ObservedMW:

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0558/8588/9636/files/no_image_default_image-jpeg_34e9e769-e66e-47cc-b2aa-04409bd99fd6.jpg?v=1773148079
