The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Assay procedure summary: 1. Prepare all reagents, samples and standards;
2. Add 50µL standard or sample to each well.
    And then add 50µL prepared Detection Reagent A immediately.
    Shake and mix. Incubate 1 hour at 37°C;
3. Aspirate and wash 3 times;
4. Add 100µL prepared Detection Reagent B. Incubate 30 minutes at 37°C;
5. Aspirate and wash 5 times;
6. Add 90µL Substrate Solution. Incubate 10-20 minutes at 37°C;
7. Add 50µL Stop Solution. Read at 450 nm immediately.

Test principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Galanin (GAL) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Galanin (GAL) and unlabeled Galanin (GAL) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Galanin (GAL). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Galanin (GAL) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Galanin (GAL) in the sample.

Research Area: Metabolic pathway;Endocrinology;Reproductive science;Neuro science;Hepatology;Gastroenterology;Hormone metabolism;

References Citing This Product: Decreased galanin serum levels are associated with alcohol-craving during withdrawal

Circulating galanin levels are increased in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus

Endogenous galanin as a novel biomarker to predict gestational diabetes mellitus.

Circulating galanin and IL-6 concentrations in gestational diabetes mellitus

Association between circulating levels of galanin and pre-pregnancy body mass index in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus

The Effects of Levetiracetam on Cerebrospinal Fluid and Plasma NPY and GAL, and on the Components of Stress Response System, hs-CRP, and S100B Protein in Serum of Patients with Refractory Epilepsy

Low Galanin Serum Levels are Associated with Anxiety in Opioid-Maintained Patients

Colorectal cancer patients exhibit increased levels of galanin in serum and colon tissues

Serum Galanin Levels in Young Healthy Lean and Obese Non-Diabetic Men during an OralGlucose Tolerance Test.

Adrenomedullin and Galanin Responses to Orthostasis in Older Persons

Serum Galanin in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0558/8588/9636/files/no_image_default_image-jpeg_40183db4-c7f8-42af-94cd-e1272a5a7db9.jpg?v=1783135007
